  • Short excursion to VA beach

    Susan and I were lamenting one night how we weren’t going to make it to the beach this summer when the ultimate gift landed in my lap.  My boss had to cancel going to Norfolk with me for a meeting so I would be going alone.  Cha-ching!  Can you say whole family beach trip staying ocean front for 3 days!!  YES…

    Skylar and daddy do everything together.  These pics shows us discussing the detailed life of a ‘digger’ whilst Skylar keeps a vigilant eye out for waves, digging out the hole for the tent, and then packing it with our feet.

    Daddy and sumo Parker hanging out in the hotel room in Cali. Parker is built like a brick – literally, he’s thick and wide, should make a great line backer on day.

  • Lexington – Horace’s Birthday

    We went to Lexington to celebrate Pappa D’s birthday. It was a really fun event and I may have had one more glass of wine than I should have. Skylar enjoyed seeing her cousins, and Parker got the privilege of being adopted by Ryland for a night!

  • Girl about town

    I should have a post dedicated to Skylar’s love of shoes, but unfortunately I can’t afford the bandwidth or storage to upload it all.

    I had the idea for a Godzilla throwback movie featuring Skylar, aka Sky-zilla. Memorial Day weekend I found the time to get it done. Checkout our little monster:

  • Mercedes Sprinter contest

    The marketing manager for Inc magazine reached out to me and recommended that MJTrends enter their contest to win a free Mercedes Sprinter van.

    It’s probably a long shot, but I feel like the odds of winning might not be bad considering we were asked to enter 🙂
