We started with a party in our neighborhood and then went to another party at a Townhouse community b/c, well, that’s where the candy is – density people, we’re going for maximum throughput!
The party in our hood had an awesome wrecking ball blow up bounce house. When all the adults went inside, I tried it out. It was pretty fun 🙂
Skylar and Parker loved trick our treating. It’s mad-dash, wait (there were a dozen kids in our group), sprint the next 15 feet to the next one, rinse, repeat.
We had a Halloween Party at our place the weekend before Halloween. The bounce house was a huge hit… as were lollipops. Lots of fun costumes!
The highlight of camping for the kids was probably the marshmallows and jumping from one pack and play to the other from 8:30 to 9:30. So much for an idyllic setting of sitting still and listening to the crickets and watching the stars. The following day we went to this amazing park that was right next to the house.
They had a mud pie making area, gold panning stream, narrow winding trails covered with vines like from a fairy tale, and we got to taste some freshly squeezed (as in squeezed right in front of us) apple juice – awesome!
The theme of the day was “Do they dare go…” from the Berenstein Bears Spooky Old Tree book.
Last weekend we went to Lexington for a camping trip. Friday night we stayed at Nana and Poppa D’s. Parker was fascinated by the tractors and the ‘firetruck’. I’m guessing the lights on top of the rollback and the fact that it was red made it a firetruck.
Horace – sorry if you never find your keys again, Parker is kind of a klepto when it comes to keys…
Hanging on a lazy Sunday at Clemyjontri Park.
We had wanted to get to the zoo all summer long, and we finally made this Saturday morning. Nothing like waking up at 7AM to help have a productive day.
We saw Pandas, zebras, elephants, and buffalo. The kids loved the pandas!! Thinking about turning taco into a panda dog:
Parker and Skylar had never worn ear-buds before. It’s like this magical thing that produces ear candy.
Thumb in the mouth for Skylar. Parker rocked the air guitar.
Susan made her first poop joke today. The kids and I are so proud of her! Check out our poop sandcastle:
The kids did so much better than last summer at the beach. I had to carry them 1 time down to the water where we watched the waves crash for a minute or two, and then I put them down and it was off to the races chasing the waves back and forth!
