Despite what appears to be the occasional grimace, Skylar loved this ride! Not sure why the people next to me seemed to think that telling their kid that the big man in the middle was an Oriole’s fan would make them not be scared – everyone knows Oriole’s fans are horrid people…
Yes – those are panda bears and yes – that is a honey pot. I thought panda’s ate bamboo – but they are bears and we all know that bears love honey:
Last weekend we went to Dutch Wonderland! Apparently Lancaster County, PA has figured out it’s niche – young kids. Dutch Wonderland is like Kings Dominion, but for ages 3-8.
Skylar and Parker had a blast. Friday night we stayed at the hotel and swam in the pool. Then Sat. morning we got up bright and early for a full day at the park.
We checked out animatronic dinosaurs, drove cars, rode tons of rides, and finished it all off with a snow cone!
Later that evening we enjoyed some authentic Dutch food at the local all you can eat buffet run by Asians. Love those Dutch crab legs!
We went camping at Burke Lake. It was an interesting place – they had a kids train that ran through the property and must have been over a mile long.
We went with 3 other families and the kids had a blast. Only problem is that they didn’t go to sleep until around midnight, and then they woke up with the sun. Everyone needed naps the following day!

Mining for gold:
They may have learned this from me:
Parker’s big gift for his birthday was a train. He and Skylar loved playing on it, but it got sent back b/c it moved at a snails pace – no literally this thing moves at 0.0001 mph.
We hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at Safa Ct for 2015. The kids had a blast. This year Parker shook all his eggs to ensure they had something inside – too funny.
My 2 cool dudes:
Skylar and Parker run laps at the Harris International Speedway:
Everyone at the table shares what they did that day.
