Bethany Beach July 4th
We got a sweet last minute deal on a Townhouse at Bethany Beach. July 2nd we confirmed and packed our bags. Here are some pics of the kids doing their thing at the beach!
Parker knows the importance of applying sunscreen – to everything! -
Lake of the Woods
We had a fun weekend at Lake of the Woods. I grew up going to the beach across from the house we rented for the last 20 years. Funny!

Boogie Boogie Shake Shake!
We attended Friday Night Live with some friends. They have music, food, and beer. Parker and Skylar enjoyed the show, but it was a bit loud. Here are some vids of the kiddo’s:

Herndon Festival
Saturday we made a last minute decision to go to the Herndon festival / carnival. The kids had fun going on the carnival rides, but it definitely had an element of WT to it. Seems like carnivals are hanging on to the last vestiges of life and are soon to be doomed to the waste bin of history.
We decided that we needed to ‘up’ the cultural ‘ante’ and do something more educational, so we went to the museum of natural history the following day.

Parker vids
I’ve taught both of our kids the face-plant. Not sure how this will help later in life…
Parker is teaching himself the guitar. He knows lots of songs – below is the Skylar wake up song.

As if Parker couldn’t embody a ‘boy’ anymore than he already does:

Childrens Museum
On our last day in Denver we met Sharon, Josh, and their son Collin at the Children’s museum. It was a cool place, but honestly our kids would have had just as much fun playing at REI 🙂
The firetruck was a highlight – as it was a 100% real firetruck.
Parker found the tool section and refused to leave. By the end we had to extricate him kicking and screaming as his hammer and saw were left behind.
Mommy – look more excited your about the get sprayed! Our little firefighters hard at work. Real fire truck Suction balls! How cool Refusal to leave the tools behind as we enter another theme room. Working at the tool station.
