Pictures from just after Christmas 2011. We went to Baltimore to a children’s museum called “Port Discovery”. It was crazy! They had a count down to New Years at 11:59 – AM instead of PM :). The other shots are back at the hotel room hanging out.

Strawberry or Watermelon
Apparently Skylar’s halloween outfit is really obvious. Guesses anyone? I said it was a watermelon, Susan’s swears it’s a strawberry, my dad said it was a lady bug. Other guesses included pink cow, pink pumpkin, and pink tiger.

Don King
Skylar has the craziest hair. Yesterday Susan lamented the fact that we went with’ Skylar’ instead of ‘Chloe’, because her hair is way too crazy for a ‘Skylar’.
Sometimes the little ones need us to verbalize things for them. The day I shot this I was able to translate what Skylar was thinking by shouting repeatedly, “I’m Don King *&%)$.”

Skylar Baptism
We traveled to Lexington so that Horace could Baptize Skylar at the Oxford Presbyterian Church. It has to be one of the most beautiful Churches I’ve seen. The Church itself is this historic building with Cathedral ceilings, original 20 foot windows, and massive oak door with iron handles.
The location is the killer – tucked away in the midst of mountains and fields of gold with a graveyard that despite sounding creepy, is actually a sight to behold from a distance.
Skylar had been really good during the trip. She enjoyed her smores at the mountain cabin and slept through the night, but the morning of the ceremony she only wanted to be held by Mommy Susinator or Tom – the baby whisperer.

Gillette’s birthday
This past September we went to Big Gillette’s house for little Gillette’s birthday. Little Gillette is not so little anymore 🙂 I think I noticed some deepening of his voice – puberty won’t be far away. Good luck with that! I can make fun b/c our little one is… well, so much more little.
Lots of babies at these occasions. I think it’s something in the water.

Nurse like an Egyptian
I don’t know why Skylar had her onesie on her head – most likely because I couldn’t figure out how to get it on her. She’s looks very Egyptian like. In case you didn’t know, Egyptians are notorious for being sloppy milk eaters.

My two babies
After Skylar entered the fray Taco suddenly became ‘my dog’. Can’t say that I didn’t foresee that happening 🙂
Regardless, here are picture of my two babies – Skylar and Taco. Susan’s two babies are myself and Skylar…

Rub the Buddha
Remember when you were a kid and someone bet you that you couldn’t pat your head and rub your belly at the same time? Oh yeah, this pic takes me back. Babies these days are so much more advanced than we were.
3 months old and she’s already able to both pat and rub… I attribute it to the advancement of society via the interweb. Ah – and back in the day I used to walk to and from school up hill in the snow…

Heil Skylar
I suspect that the few readers of this blog are not familiar with the TV show Family Guy, nonetheless, Skylar does this Stewie-esque pose where she essentially says “Obey Me” Heil Hitler style.
Mixing babies with one of the worst atrocities in the 20th Centure may be politically incorrect, but I couldn’t resist.
