Nanny and Poppa D came and spent the night with us Christmas Eve and we had a fun Christmas morning prior to heading out a day later for Mt Snow in Vermont with the Garners.

4th Graders do not put on a concert at LAES, but I did get these videos of them practicing. Next year Parker will get to perform with the 6th graders at all the various performances. Parker is in the middle with the black shirt playing cello.
Progress, progress…
Oh how we love our hot cross buns. Yum yum…
Wrapping up with my personal favorite – jingle bells because it is that time of year! Parker is on the right on the front row in the orange shirt below. Rock that cello Parker! Jingle all the way.
Parker in class playing Cello – listen to that sweet sweet sound!
Parker got a shout out at school for being helpful:

Parker and I were cracking up one evening playing on the trampoline and doing Quasi Modo voices.
Skylar and Parker have been watching ASMR videos and anything with a satisfying sound is now “ASMR”.
Skylar’s first dance competition was December 9th. There were some tears shed over the fact that she had to wear makeup… Other than that the competition went well and Skylar did a great job despite having joined the team at least a couple months late!
Parker and I watched her and other shows and generally found stuff to do around the area. Funny – when I asked Parker on Sunday night what the best part of his weekend was – it was our downtime at Skylar’s competition.

Parker spent some time one night setting up the ideal bedroom. $99 per night. Sign up below.
In the Fall we visited Culpeper several times and each time on the way back we pulled off the road onto a quiet street and hopped in the back with Parker’s blue blanket, the blue futon mattress, and a sleeping bag and we stared up at the stars.
We found a cool star app on my phone and could view the constellations. A couple times a car would pass by and everyone ducked under the covers 😉
