Cox Farms

Farming in urban / suburban areas has basically become what I like to term agri-entertainment.  Not sure that there was any real farming going on other than keeping a few livestock and cornfields functioning in order for us suburbanite tourists to see them.

Cox had a dozen massive slides, multiple pumpkin smashing contests, an alien corn maze, rope swings, free apple cider, hay ride, and just like cheesy art museums – you exit through the gift shop.

I shouldn’t be so cynical, I’m happy that the Cox family is able to hang on to what land they have left and provide an outdoor somewhat agricultural entertainment day for my kids.  Check out the pics:
