  • Thanksgiving

    Thanksgiving

We had Thom, Teri, Mom, Horace, Gillette, and Donna over for a pre-Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving dinner 🙂 Because why have only one Thanksgiving when you could have two!

  • Skylar – dive team

Skylar decided to try dive team this year. With her gymnastics background she was able to make quick headway and got accepted into invitationals at the end of the year.

  • Skylar – Vienna Velocity Dance

Skylar got to be the center of the action at her Velocity Vienna Promotional. I had no idea she was going to be the lead star – thanks for letting us know Skylar! Great performance 🙂

  • KeyStone Colorado Spring Break

We traveled to Keystone for Spring Break. It’s about a 2 hour car ride from Denver and when we were 20 minutes away it started snowing and traffic grinded to a halt. We spent another 2 hours in the car going that remaining 20 minutes. I learned “Swag in Ohio” and there was a lot of laughing and Parker running outside the car.

Skylar got some daddy / daughter time by visiting a nearby book store and doing some shopping in the evenings after skiing was over. Parker and I went to the pool each afternoon. I hit just under 60 mph on the EPIC app coming down the last face headed into the village. Super fun!

We watched Wacanda Forever and Parker peed on a really nice leather chair. He’s kinda like the lab I had growing up – if he laughs too hard pee is going to come out. It’s inevitable. We should have learned better by now.

We had to get up at 3:30am to catch ourDlight back and the airport was still crazy busy. With just barely enough time to get to our flight we picked up some McD’s and I was reminded that I will never eat there EVER again. Super expensive for crappy food. What happened to cheap and fast?

I must have spent 2 hours playing the onboard video game in the seat rest and I got so far that I glitched the game. United – I’ll take my free flights for life, thank you.

  • Roundtop ski trip

I fell in a giant ribbed aluminum tube and thought I may have broken a bone. Last run of the day – go figure. I limped back to our hotel, took a bunch of Alieve and plenty of time in the hot tub and luckily only had a whopper of a bruise. 3 weeks later and back to good as new! Kinda scary though. Gillette – thanks for the offer to drive us home. Thankfully didn’t need it.

  • Liberty Ski – January 21

Where’s the snow! It’s like spring skiing except in mid-January.

  • Mt Snow with the Garners

Christmas Day came and went in a blur and it was on to the airport where we took an early flight into Vermont and then a 2 hour drive up to Mt Snow.

We had a fun time skiing, visiting, and eating the tastiest mountain waffles with pearlized sugar crystals that you’ve ever had.

The day we got back it was so warm that parker was running around outside the airport with a t-shirt, shorts, and no shoes. So much for winter…

  • Xmas card 2022

We got matching onesies for our Christmas card 2022. Below are the pics that we took for the final card.

  • Fall camping / climbing 2022

We went to Luray to camp and do some climbing. It was supposed to dip into the 30’s at night so we brought electric blankets (great idea Uncle Gillette). Unfortunately what we failed to understand was that we were supposed to put them under us and not on top.

By morning the electric blankets were bundled up in a corner providing heat to no one, but luckily we had tons of blankets and stayed super warm even without the electric heat.

Skylar did an amazing job as film maker, getting close ups of Parker’s feet, which is pretty awesome to even think to do that, but we also found hilarious for no good reason. Skylar – if you go into the film industry we will talk about this moment…

  • Burke Lake Camping

We went camping at Burke Lake and had a couple other families join us for evening activities but they did not spend then night. The next day we did the entire loop around the lake on our bikes and stopped for a quick bout of jousting.
