  • Scottsdale Arizona

We stayed in Scottsdale at the Westin Kierland Resort. The resort was posh, right on a golf course, with lake, and lots of birds, quail, rabbits, and other wildlife.

Everything in Scottsdale is brand new including old town. It seemed like the town was built starting in 2000. Nothing was more than 10 years old.

The landscaping, including the areas maintained by the state, were perfectly manicured.

  • Thanksgiving 2011

I think we tied our record from last year with the number of Thanksgiving dinners at 5, but I’m hoping we’ll break it in the future :). We went to Uncle Thom’s house Sat. for dinner, and despite Terri not being there everything was delicious as expected. Skylar did really well, but I wasn’t able to squeeze a group photo in before we had to skedaddle home for nap time.

Skylar starting sucking her thumb and even closed her eyes while in Susan’s lap on the way home – a first for us considering she is all party all the time whenever we have tried to co-sleep.

It was great to see all the family despite a few absences. After Skylar’s afternoon nap we spent the remaining daylight taking shots for our Christmas cards. The last pic is a preview…

  • Work ethic

Skylar already has a great work ethic. What you can’t tell from this video is that she’s actually pushing the stroller up hill. You go girl!

  • Giggles

Destruction can be so laugh inducing…hehehehehe

  • Skylar waving

Back in November Susan and I were entertained endlessly when Skylar decided to give her beauty queen wave to mommy as she passed by in her hot rod.

  • Spunky

Skylar’s personality is really starting to shine.  I think it can be summed up in one word: Spunky!  We like to eat our Flatypus, toy with Taco, play hide and seek with daddy, and tackle any soft object including red balls, sofas, and pillows.

  • Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was the first year that Susan and I didn’t make it out ourselves to any kind of party.  On the flip side we did have a wild cheetah with us over the weekend.  That’s crazy!

  • New House

Susan has been talking about wanting to move to a new house.  I got this sweet deal and didn’t even have to put down a mortgage:

  • Rocknocerous

Our favorite band was playing at the mall so we like had to go there and chill with all our buds. I picked out my fav “I Love Mommy” shirt, the pink on pink one, and we jetted. Check out my sweet moves:

  • Gymboree: level 2

Having graduated from Gymboree level 1, we moved on to level 2 where things get extremely exciting and dangerous.  Enter the tube of doom, climb across the passage of a 1,000 squigles, and rock the horsey of infinite despair – if you DARE!
