We met Ryan, Paul, Hillary, John, Abby, and Rebecca for some fun at Algonkian Park. I brought the floating island and the Wilkenfeld’s brought the concessions.
The kids played on the inflatable paddle boards and raft, while the adults sat under the shade and tried not to float down river.

We went camping at Woodstock tower for Father’s Day. We went up the fire tower twice, because Parker couldn’t quite muster up the courage to do it on day 1 and he wanted another chance to defeat his fears. He did make it to the top on day 2, and he quickly made is way back down.
Skylar and I found a trail that led to some people who were para-gliding off the side of the mountain. They were waiting for the wind to get perfect before they took off, but I wish I had grabbed a picture of them, because it was really cool to see.

Skylar graduated from 6th grade Louise Archer Elementary. Big Day!!!! Daddy’s little girl is growing up 🙂
We had a party at the house later that Skylar helped put together. Her friends played a pop the balloon game where you have to do what the message inside the balloon says, they had a water balloon toss, and they sang songs on the trampoline.

We spent a couple summers using the paddle boards and swimming in the local parks (including the ones you’re not really allowed to swim at) and we took lots of friends with us on our adventures.
This particular weekend had our neighbor Ellie, who we kind of adopted at times, for a day at Algonkian on the water. Ellie had a habit of coming over and then never leaving, but we always enjoyed her company 😉

While Skylar attending her gymnastics sessions Parker and I would frequently go to Burke Lake. When the weather was warm enough we’d go out on the water with the paddle boards, which often turned into a wrestling match whereby one or both of us would end up in the water.
Sometimes we’d ride bikes and occassionally we’d play in the sand on the volley ball courts.
On this particular day we got caught on the water in a rain storm! When the weather was bad we’d go to laser tag – with Parker typically being the last man standing, regardless of who we played against. Parker go his shirt wet, so I’m pretty sure he’s wearing his sisters grey shirt in that video game photo.

Post xmas decorations going up in Skylar’s room.

Parker got a shout out at school for being helpful:
