  • Skylar Kindergarten progress report

Wow! It’s crazy how fast the human brain develops. And it’s also crazy how fast kids grow up. Just got an email from Skylar’s teacher with her progress report from Q1 to Q2.

Also, randomly got a bunch of pictures of Skylar’s 3rd birthday. Check it out:

    From September 2016:

    In January 2017:

I like to keep things in chronological order – to see the newly discovered 3 year old birthday pics go here:

  • Letter to Santa

Parker was upset because he couldn’t write a letter to Santa and now he wouldn’t get his… socks????

  • Letter to Santa 2017

Skylar wrote a letter on behalf of herself and her brother to Santa / bear blankie.  Sometimes it’s so cute you have to break out the scanner and preserve it forever:

  • Festival of lights

Just like when Jesus was alive, Camels, candy coated apples, neon lights with rides…

Check out the camera pose by the camel operator – priceless.

  • Showtime at the Newseum

We watched a scary 3d movie at the Newseum.  Probably not D.C.’s best museum option for kids – although I thoroughly enjoyed it.  We had gotten free tickets through Gannett.

  • Cox Farms

Nothing is better than Cox farms in the fall. They have slides, an alien maze, pumpkin bashing, and beautiful fall foliage.

  • Lexington childrens museum

On the way to Nana and Poppa D’s house we stopped at a children’s museum. Such a fun age to explore fun stuff!

  • G-Town Pirates

We took a Georgetown pirate boat ride one weekend.  Sometimes you have to do the touresty things in your own backyard. There was a really fun water sprinkler that we ran through as well.
