  • Skylar buttons and drive

Skylar discovered a pair of pajamas that had buttons on the top and she wanted to try to do it herself so I let her.  The first button took 35 minutes to do, but I let her struggle through it.

Ever since then she has demanded her ‘butterfly’ jammies so she can button them up every night.  The girl has drive – once she wraps her head around wanting to do something, stand back.  She will work and work on it until she’s a pro!

  • Play date with Joshua

A hot summer day playing with Joshua, our friend down the street. Parker decided it was too hot for clothes so he walked around in diapers…later those came off too.

  • Family shot

Susan wanted to get a head start, like a head plus a neck, and maybe the whole body – for our Christmas cards.  We didn’t go with any of these, but had some good candids.

  • Skylar’s 3rd birthday card

Looking back over these photos I see it took 180 shots and 2 photo sessions to get that one perfect picture.  At the end of the day the talent was exhausted along with everybody else.

  • Red wagon

Every day that goes by Skylar and Parker are playing with each other more.  It’s great to see them start having that relationship.  Skylar now likes to ride in the middle car seat so she can sit next to Parker, and as long as one of them isn’t screaming you can typically find them giggling and squealing with each other.

  • Impromptu Va beach trip

Work sent me down to Norfolk on a Monday, so we decided to make a weekend of it and stay at Va. beach for a couple days.  The weather was less than cooperative.  The first day we encountered a sand storm at the end of the boardwalk while playing at what would have been an awesome kids area.

The next day it rained, so we did some swimming at the pool.  Skylar got to try goggles for the first time.  I think she liked them because mommy and daddy laughed so hard when she first put them on 🙂

  • Cool dudes

All those bright colors make me feel like I’m in a throwback to the 80’s.  That reminds me, I need to pick up my Members Only jacket from the dry cleaners.

  • Parker’s Dol

Parkers first birthday went quite smoothly.  Neither of the kids had any issue putting on the traditional Korean garb, which is almost unheard of.  Part of the tradition, as I understand it, is the screaming of the birthday child at having to wear a hanbok.

Parker enjoyed his smash cake, and we probably gave him a full minute to relish in the sweet mess before extracting him from it.

  • Snowing at the end of March

This past year we didn’t get much snow, so when it started coming down at the end of March Susan yelled, grabbed the camera and we went outside and shot a few pics before I went to work.
