  • Xmas photo 2017

It’s that time of year again!  I was inspired by Susan’s idea to dress Skylar as an angel.  My idea was to hang her from a ladder and have her floating above us waiving a magic wand.  I think I got the desired effect:

  • Home is wherever I’m with you

I heard this song on Spotify radio and I had to create a video montage around it.  FYI the words are:

    Alabama, Arkansas
I do love my maw and paw.
    Ahh, Home
    Let me come Home
Home is wherever I’m with you

  • Frying Pan Park

Frying Pan Park had a meet Santa day this past weekend.  This year we were smart enough to know not to put Skylar on Santa’s lap (see last years traumatic event with Halmoni).

It was Skylar’s first time on a Merry-Go-Round and she loved it.  Faster horsey, faster!  I have to admit I wasn’t prepared for the speed at which that ancient machine moved.  Upon first start I was nearly thrown off it.

BTW – Parker lives in that bjorn.  It’s a wonder he and Susan haven’t fused permanently together yet.

  • Hanging with the cousins

    Skylar loves her cousins!

  • Manna

Thanksgiving night Susan went out shopping for deals and she came home with…bread. Lots and lots and lots of bread. Let me give you the exact figure: three 60 gallon trashbags of bread.

Turns out a friend who normally donated the bread at Mclean Bible wasn’t able to offload it due to canceled activities this week so Susan volunteered to take it – all of it.

Everybody we know got bread this week! I may develop type II diabetes from the amount of bread I consume over the next 2-3 months.

  • Natural beauty

This is a testament to two things: the natural beauty that surrounds us everyday at any moment, and also the ridiculous technological improvements in cameras.

I took this one night around 10:00pm from the middle of the street just outside our house. No streetlights or artificial light other than 2 porch lights on the front of my neighbors house that the camera picked up in the tree leaves.

For camera nerds this was shot at: f8, 32 second exposure, ISO 800. Beautiful starry night 🙂
