  1. Don’t criticize or condemn other people<\/span>.\u00a0 Try to understand the other person and have empathy, no matter the situation.\u00a0 Agree with them, recognize their feelings and statements, then move to what you want.<\/li>\n
  2. Give honest and sincere appreciation<\/span>.\u00a0 The desire to be great is as powerful as that for food, sex, and sleep.\u00a0 Give people that feeling.<\/li>\n
  3. Arouse want in others<\/span>.\u00a0 Got a brilliant idea – let other team members think it’s their own.\u00a0 Think about what other people want when trying to get them to do something.<\/li>\n
  4. Be genuinely interested in other people<\/span>.\u00a0 Let people talk about themselves and they’ll be interested in you.\u00a0 Ask questions.<\/li>\n
  5. Talk in terms of other peoples interests<\/span>.\u00a0 Makes them interested in the conversation when you do talk.<\/li>\n

  12. Have a problem – begin in a friendly way<\/span>.\u00a0 Tell the other side how great they are and what is pleasure it has been to do business.\u00a0 You’d hate for x to be tarnished and thought they should know…<\/li>\n

  14. Handling complaints<\/span>: let the other side do most of the talking.<\/li>\n
  15. Get cooperation<\/span>: Let other people think the idea is theirs.<\/li>\n
  16. Collect past dues<\/span>: People want to be honest.\u00a0 If they are paying it’s usually b\/c they are upset about something.\u00a0 Listen to them, appeal to their nobleness, let them name their price, and collect what they will give.<\/li>\n

    • Call attention to peoples mistakes indirectly.<\/li>\n
    • Talk about your own mistakes first.<\/li>\n

      • Praise the slightest improvement and every improvement.<\/li>\n
      • Give a dog a good name.\u00a0 Give the other person a good reputation to live up to.<\/li>\n
