  • 2018 SkyPark Productions: Xmas

Local Super hero’s, strong boy and empathy girl, are under attack by villains who seek to ruin their mom’s Christmas. Will they prevail?

  • Skylar’s birthday party

We had a water / dinosaur theme for Skylar’s 5th birthday party.  Her best friend Sydney also had a birthday in July and had recently moved to Annapolis, so they celebrated their birthdays together.

Parker also had fun – although it can be hard to be a 3 year-old at your older sisters birthday party…

    Check out the pics:

  • Rain boots

    Freshly rained on street: check
Brand new “Hello Kitty” rain boots: check
    Shirt and pants: not necessary.

  • Wakey wakey

Skylar talks…a lot. Unfortunately there is something about video cameras that causes her to immediately cease all verbal communications. I think she is plotting something against me.

Shhhh – he’s in the room again and he’s recording evidence, don’t say ANYTHING!

Anyways, this was another attempt to capture some of the verbosity going on a wake up time.

  • Skylar warming up for Boston Marathon

Susan and I are in Boston at an ABA conference and it just so happens to be the same weekend as the Boston Marathon.

Here you can see Skylar warming up.  Of course, we’ll have to master moving forward before she wins the BM, but you’ve got to start somewhere.

  • Camera is delicious

Susan: “Skylars’ hair is crazy this morning.”
Michael: “Skylars’ hair is crazy every morning.”
Susan: “I have an idea. Let’s put a stretch lacy thingy on her head.”
Michael: “Brilliant. Then it can look even crazier.”
Skylar: “Give me camera. Must eat.”

  • Yucky foo!

Not everything in life is going to be a home run. Take peas with avocado for example. It’s not delicious. We’ll – don’t take it from me, Skylar’s face shows all:

    Can you say “Bleyah!”

  • Eating is funny

The majority of our time is spent trying to get Skylar to [fill in the blank.] The usual suspects are laugh, crawl, walk, or eat. Bonus points if you get her to do two at once!

  • Skylars first visitors

All the grandparents came by while we were in the hospital.  The second day was very busy as lots of people were coming and going.  Plus nurses and doctors come by every hour or two to check / probe / update you.  I think half the reason why they do it is to encourage you to leave 🙂

Here are some shots of Skylar and her visitors.  Apparently she thinks grandpa’s face is funny – so do we, nice pose dad!

  • Skylar’s do

We are officially 48 hours into being parents and Susan is doing great.  Breast feeding is not as natural an experience as one may think – there isn’t much that we as humans do instinctively, but Susan has got the flow – now we need Skylar to catch on.

After Skylar was born she didn’t get a bath until about 4:00am.  Prior to her bath I twisted the muck in her hair in beautiful little spikes.  This was my first attempt at doing her hair 🙂  I think I can handle this whole girl thing…
