  • White Oak Falls

We met old with my best friend from Highschool, Mike Heard, and his 3 kids to hike White Oak Falls and explore what I had heard was “Natures water slide”. The water was not what I would call warm! Flowing water never is.

We went down the water slide, then hiked down and then back up to see the falls. We found a way to jump off the rocks and into the water – which was super fun and only slightly dangerous. A butterfly also landed on my shoe – apparently they can’t smell.

We had just watched a Key and Peele episode on “Terries” and Parker was calling everyone Jonathan Livingston the whole day. Funny funny!

  • Early dismissal hike

When school lets out early, we go outside to play.

  • Vienna Fall Hike

Timmey’s parents showed us a great hike really close to the house right off of Lawyers road. We did some hiking there one day after school. Parker played in the water and Skylar showed off her gymnastics skills while bravely shimmying across the bridge.

  • Great Falls Waterfall Hike

We were blessed with nice weather the first couple weeks of quarantine. Our second or third weekend home we went to Great Falls and hiked almost all the way to the falls.

We were hiking for close to 3.5 hours, but we took lots of detours.

  • Diamond Head hike

Parker helped Mom down the trail by holding her hand and showing her where to step. The Hike wasn’t bad and we got local taco’s within the town of Diamond Head.

The weather was a little iffy, but we made it without incident, which is good because I prefer not to come down via water slide.
