Dutch Wonderful
We had a Dutch wonderful weekend at Dutch Wonderland over the weekend. Skylar has graduated to all the rides in the park and definitely has strong preferences over which ones are her favorite (log flume and the roller coaster – both of which we did 3-4 times in a row).
Parker is also much more aware of his world. He’s more cautious than he was 1 year ago, and even more cautious than 2 years ago when he would have put his head in the jaws of a lion at a moments notice. I think his fav might have been the fun slide. The first day he didn’t want to try it, but by the second day he was racing daddy by himself to the bottom.
Here are some pics of all the fun that we had:

Despite what appears to be the occasional grimace, Skylar loved this ride! Not sure why the people next to me seemed to think that telling their kid that the big man in the middle was an Oriole’s fan would make them not be scared – everyone knows Oriole’s fans are horrid people…
Yes – those are panda bears and yes – that is a honey pot. I thought panda’s ate bamboo – but they are bears and we all know that bears love honey:

Dutch Wonderland
Last weekend we went to Dutch Wonderland! Apparently Lancaster County, PA has figured out it’s niche – young kids. Dutch Wonderland is like Kings Dominion, but for ages 3-8.
Skylar and Parker had a blast. Friday night we stayed at the hotel and swam in the pool. Then Sat. morning we got up bright and early for a full day at the park.
We checked out animatronic dinosaurs, drove cars, rode tons of rides, and finished it all off with a snow cone!
Later that evening we enjoyed some authentic Dutch food at the local all you can eat buffet run by Asians. Love those Dutch crab legs!
