We spent Friday night in Wilmington before we could get into the beach house on Saturday so that we could travel (for 6 hours) after Skylar had gone to sleep. We got in around 1:00am and promptly went to sleep.

Skylar woke up at her usual time, about 7:00am and we headed out for breakfast and to checkout GEM Studios, the second largest film studio in the US. One Tree Hill is filmed there and we got to check out the set. Unfortunately neither Susan nor I watch that show so we couldn’t relate, but it was interesting anyway.

All that heat and sand can be a drag. Sometimes you just want to chill poolside and order up some fruit smoothie margaritas, hold the alcohol… and the margarita mix. Here are pics of Skylar enjoying her blow up pool at TopSail beach.

Skylar’s cousins are quite photogenic and love to ham it up for the camera. Checkout the photo that is remiscent of Skylar’s youthful days a few months ago when she never left the house without sporting the hawk.

Susan, Skylar, and I were recently at Topsail beach with my fathers side of the family. Sklyar loved the beach, and made sure that the rest of us stayed safe by recommending sunscreen lotion and frequent naps.

These pictures crack me up.  She was in such a grumpy mood for Easter and she would NOT smile, not matter what the photographer (Michael) tried.  It wasn’t like she was crying or upset, just that day she was a serious, unhappy baby.  Maybe it was the dress???

For our upcoming trip to Toronto, I took some head shots of Skylar not realizing that passport photos have specific requirements.  She was in a great mood and I got some cute shots!  We still ended up going to the photographer for the actual passport photos, though.  Of course she had no smiles for the photographer.

I was putting together Skylar’s photo album and looking back at pics of Skylar at 3,4 and 6 months she has gotten so much bigger!  These are 9 month photos on the back deck with Daddy and Mommy.

Susan and Skylar were in serious conversation when I snapped these pics. Skylar is a fairly intense baby, so she is apt to have these deep talks. It mainly revolved around looking cute for the camera. I don’t know what Susan said, but it obviously worked.
