Back in November Susan and I were entertained endlessly when Skylar decided to give her beauty queen wave to mommy as she passed by in her hot rod.

Spunky
Skylar’s personality is really starting to shine. I think it can be summed up in one word: Spunky! We like to eat our Flatypus, toy with Taco, play hide and seek with daddy, and tackle any soft object including red balls, sofas, and pillows.

Halloween 2011
Halloween this year was the first year that Susan and I didn’t make it out ourselves to any kind of party. On the flip side we did have a wild cheetah with us over the weekend. That’s crazy!

New House
Susan has been talking about wanting to move to a new house. I got this sweet deal and didn’t even have to put down a mortgage:

Rocknocerous
Our favorite band was playing at the mall so we like had to go there and chill with all our buds. I picked out my fav “I Love Mommy” shirt, the pink on pink one, and we jetted. Check out my sweet moves:

Gymboree: level 2
Having graduated from Gymboree level 1, we moved on to level 2 where things get extremely exciting and dangerous. Enter the tube of doom, climb across the passage of a 1,000 squigles, and rock the horsey of infinite despair – if you DARE!

Rocking out at Tysons
Not only can you play on soft giant beetles, whales, and trucks but you can also rock out to the tunes of:
- “Rock and Roll Rubber Ducky”
- “You can’t always get the Teddy you want” by the Rolling Red Balls.
- “Pacifier Dreaming” by the Momma’s and the Daddy’s

Gymboree class
At Gymboree we learn how to climb stairs, push logs, tumble, and basically be a monkey… because we already had the eating banana part down.

Road trip
We drove down to NC to visit Sumi and Keith over Memorial Day weekend. Other than Skylar getting a very high fever for a couple days it was a good trip.
On the way back, Skylar learned how to give kisses, or eat your face, whichever…

Toronto Zoo
Our next stop was the Toronto Zoo. Thinking back about this trip, I must have lost about 10 pounds, because again, we found ourselves walking for about 4 hours nonstop trying to see all the sights. Susan commented approximately 20 minutes prior to leaving the zoo on the way out that we should have purchased tram tickets.
And yet she calls me stupid for wanting these shoes:

Heely shoes Anyone who wants to get these for me for xmas – they are called Heely’s and yes they come in adult sizes.
One of the most interesting parts of the zoo was the butterfly exhibit. The butterflies were all around you and they could go in and out of the exhibit as people entered and left. I’m still perplexed as to how they kept the butterflies there.
